On Friday December 12th the young couples’ class hosted a dinner and game night in the family life center with great success! The night was full of great food, fellowship, and of course games. Competitive spirits and even individual painting skills were put to the test as husbands and wives were tasked with painting a portrait of their spouse in 20 minutes!! We are happy to report that all couples are still together after painting each other! A devotional message was brought by associate pastor Lucas Woods on the importance of planning as a couple, praying as a couple, and the joy of constantly pursuing God and each other in everything done in the home. Gods word gives us a perfect picture in Ephesians chapter 5 on the roles husbands and wives are meant to fulfil in the home and this class is dedicated solely to discipling couples through the eyes of God and His picture of what a marriage must be while relying completely on His word as our spiritual compass. We are proud to announce that this is going to become a regular occurrence for the young couples’ class and will have a date in the calendar soon for when the next game night takes place!
